I do not say any of those things. And it is not an accident.
The “quit your job” narrative has always bothered me — not because building outside income is wrong, but because it frames the goal as escape. And escape is not a financial strategy. It is a feeling. And feelings make terrible business foundations.

- Emergency capacity. You absorb a crisis without going into debt, because you have income that does not pause when life does.
The Nine to Five Is Not the Enemy
Your job — if you have a stable one — is an asset. It provides salary you can count on while you build. It provides benefits that protect your family. It provides a financial runway that most entrepreneurs would pay for.
The women who build most sustainably are not the ones who burn their bridges. They are the ones who use the stability of their income to build methodically — without the desperation that forces bad pricing, bad clients, and bad decisions.
